Israel–Iran War: What’s Next?
Zoom Webinar
Israel’s recent strikes on Iranian command centers and nuclear facilities -actions that abruptly froze US–Iran nuclear diplomacy- have thrust the region into a perilous new phase. Tehran’s response showed that its missiles can reach Israeli territory; yet Iran’s own airspace remains porous to Israeli incursions. Although President Trump stated he would decide within two weeks whether the US would become militarily involved, he ordered an airstrike targeting key nuclear facilities just two days later. The military confrontation is poised to redraw the region’s strategic map: leadership could change on either side, the battlefield could widen, and civilian casualties could soar. What options does Iran have to respond to the ‘limited’ US strike? What are the prospects for de-escalation and diplomacy? How should global and regional powers prepare for the conflict’s consequences?
The SETA Foundation in Washington, DC is pleased to convene a distinguished panel of experts to discuss the ongoing Israel–Iran conflict.
